I will have a wide range of supplies at very reasonable prices so that you can buy 2-3 times as much as you would normally buy for your cupboard. I plan on having REAL Essential Oils as well as jewelry, swords & daggers, Chalices, Herbs (Culinary & other like Wolfsbane), REAL Sandalwood chips & Powder, Genuine & abslolutely to die for Aloeswood (so very expensive, but well worth the price), Resin Incenses (Frankincense & Myrrh, Benzoin, Elemi Gum, Dragon's Blood all of the Copals as well as several other interesting resins you may have heard of but were not able to buy). I will also be able to get REAL Dead Sea Salts for you to make your own bath preparations.

Everything that I will be having on my online store will be the REAL DEAL and will not only serve the DFW Area, but the entire country as well. That means if you see something on my site that you like & want mom to buy it for you…well there ya go! I look forward to your feedback.

Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen,

Thank you all for taking the time to answer my question. I am sorry I was not really clear on the kind of store it will be. I am opening an ONLINE store, but it will be located (I have to store my stock somewhere) here in McKinney Texas. I would not open a "Stick & Bricks" shop until I see how everything goes with the webstore. As for harrassment, if there were to be any, I am not afraid of showing a trouble maker to the door nor am I afraid of posting either the FIRST AMENDMENT or the 1985 Supreme Court Ruling that makes WICCA a legal religion. Also remember one thing, if there were protesters at my store. The news media would be there. Honney let me tell you this, those protesters would help me rack up business with all of the FREE advertising they would actually be doing! Golly! I love America and the free enterprise system!

Blessed be,

Sunshine

The idea would be a good one, but its important to find a niche market. There are plenty of online stores. What would you offer that others dont? Things I look for as a Wiccan for 8 years. Inespensive Herbs, cloaks for short witches, Cauldrons that don't rust, and non fiction and fiction books ( very few sites have both fiction and non fiction books) Secure sites for credit card ordering, good shipping prices. Also a good selection of Runes and Tarot.
If you are crafty you might think about making bags for runes and tarot as well.

I’m using wire.

For beginning wirework, check out “All Wired Up”, by Marc Lareau (Interweave Press.) It covers techniques and skills, with a delightful “attitude”.

I see on Interweave’s website that they have a new book “Wire Style”, by Denise Peck, which looks tempting.

do you no anyways 2 make cool bracelets/necklaces/jewelry/hair things that are like friendship bracelets, or the starburst braclets?
if you do please leave instructions, or a link/book that explains how. THANKS!

i want to know what tools i need also where are the best places to buy beads

It depends on what kin d of jewellery you want to make?
Ear rings ? If so you need ear wires, beads and head pins that you thread the beads onto. Plus a good pair of round nose pliers for needing loops into the head wire to attach it to the ear wires( shepherds crooks etc?)And also wire cutters.
For necklaces you Will need beads, wire/stringing thread and fasteners, as well as round nose pliers and wire cutters.
That is just for starters.

I want to buy some .99 rating silver (pure sliver) jewelry. I have allergic reactions to most sterling silver. I have a hard time finding silver jewelry that are not made with sterling silver.

I have the same problem! First of all sterling silver is not fine silver. Sterling silver is .925 rating silver. It's alloy made with copper or nickle and silver. Fine silver is .999 rating silver, aka. pure silver. It's softer than sterling, but I think they have a more natural shine than sterling silver.

Also fine silver does not cause allergic reactions. Fine silver jewelry is hard to find though. Most places carry sterling silver jewelry. I found a place to shop myself.

Check it out at http://www.galleriapangea.com/jewelry/handmade_jewelry/products.html see how you like the style.

It sells both beads and already made jewelry. Please make it short and sweet, but professional sounding. Only submit answers that you can actually imagine a store being called.

I’d like to do some of the things on this site http://www.em-jewelry.com/charmbracelet.html (hardware wise I mean) and I’d just like some tips on how to do it. also, anybody know a super cheap website to buy jewelry making supplies (leather cording, clasps, etc.)?

Not sure exactly what you're wanting since there is no hardware *in* this polymer clay (I assume the polymer clay has a transfer *on* it, if it is indeed polymer clay).
If you wanted to put metal items in polymer clay (underneath as an armature, or just embedded as decorations) it would be fine to bake them with the clay… or in the case of embeds, you could put the items into the raw clay to make perfect impressions, remove them, then glue them back in after the clay is baked.

HOWEVER, now that I'm looking at the whole site, they say that they're actually just "gluing" a real photo onto a baked "clay tile" (for support and thickness), then putting it into a metal frame. In that case, the photo isn't even a "transfer," just more like doing decoupage if there is also a clear sealer on the top of the photo.

You can buy bezels and small frames like this though for using with polymer clay and/or photos or transfers, or you can make them yourself (and can even make them as "faux metal" from polymer clay in various ways).

You might want to look at some of these places at my polymer clay 'encyclopedia" to get lessons and ideas about doing this kind of thing (in various ways):

(…click on "Bezels & Frames")
http://glassattic.com/polymer/frames-mirrors.htm
(…click on "Very Small Frames")

This page for making transfers onto polymer clay, etc. (many ways):
http://glassattic.com/polymer/transfers.htm
(…you might be most interested in the subcategory called "Non-Liquid Clay Mediums")

And this page has summaries of various ways to make polymer clay look like metal:

(…click on "Metals")

Re buying jewelry supplies, this page has info on suppliers for jewelry making:
http://glassattic.com/polymer/jewelry.htm
(…click on "Suppliers" …the cheapest are probably at Michaels, etc, though)
You can also make your own wire clasps, etc., too to save money:

I want to start making my own glass beads and pendants, I'd also like to like to know where I can find good info. on how to make other jewelry, like rings and pendants, etc. with metal. I already have a good understanding of beading, although I always learn something new. Where can I find this information? I've tried using a search engine, but most of those sites aren't helpful. I can't take a class at a local bead shop because with school, I don't have time. Any suggestions/help is greatly appreciated.

best would be to take a jewelry class.
For glass bead making you would look up lamp-working classes, but they will also be advertised as bead-making classes. You can look for evening classes, there are a lot of full time working people who still can go to classes.
For the metal working it depends, for a lot of ring making you probably would have to learn metal casting, but also silver soldering. You also should practise making sketches of your jewelry design, so drawing classes or practice may be not bad.
There are also pretty good books about jewelry making, for metal working you may want to check if your library has this book: Silversmithing by Finegold and Seitz, it goes in quite a variety of techniques.
