If you've ever been to mexico they sell these bracelets on stands. They're sort of like friendship bracelets but kind of complex. I'm interested in learning to make them to kill time and I think it'd be fun to learn how to make hand made jewelry. So if anybody knows of a book or anything that teaches you how to make them (especially the fabric ones) please let me know.
go to youtube and type in 'friendship bracelet'

How much would you spend on a necklace, for example? Or if you’re in the business, do you make good money? I’m not asking how much you make. I just want to know if it’s worth looking into rather than keeping the horrible job I have now. To put it into perspective,I need enough to pay for college.
I make my own jewelry and I would not rely on it for income, I enjoy making it but doing ot in bulk and having too many orders for me was just too much! But take a look at my site its easy to figure out some easy opprotunities!

I am trying to make my own WIDE bangle jewelry bracelets..not the wire kind, but the wide ones you see that you can place different pieces of jewelry on on side (sort of like a wide cuff on your wrist). Does anyone know where I can buy the blank cuff bracelets, or do I have to find a way to make and mold them into the shape I want?
i've actually been trying all morning to find them for myself.. And I found this website, that has them, and a few other neat little things. it's http://www.beadwork-supplies.com
if the link won't work. Just google beadwork supplies.
hope it helps. =)

I was given a puzzle ring, it is a claddagh ring (two hands holding a heart) There is a ring for each hand, another for the heart, and one more as another piece of the puzzle (4 bands all together). Well I STUPIDLY took the ring apart and now I can't get it put back together. I've tried looking online but the only instructions I've found are confusing.

I've tried doing what it says but am lost at step 3. I've tried spinning ring #1, I've tried turning it to make a sphere. I can't get it to look anything like the picture.
The following link is what it looks like put together

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
Couldn't find one for your specific design but they seem to fall into different categories and groups.
Here is a site that has links to video solutions for all types of puzzle rings.
Even if you don't find the specific design the same principles may still apply.
Try find one closest to the written instructions on the link you provided.
Hope this helps and you get the ring back together.

I am trying to figure out what the thick jewelry wire (aluminum) is called!
Does anyone have any idea of a website that has small time artists putting their creations on there? I cannot remember for the life of me! I found it a month ago and I remember seeing that thick wire made into a mouse and other creatures. I am just trying to find the site so I can do some shopping. Its pretty neat. PLEASE HELP!
are you meaning really thick like armature wire?

Otherwise if you want aluminum wire you just would look for that.

To make wire jewelry, wrap the wire around a form, use thinner gauge wire to add details and beads and then secure the jewelry by wrapping it several times. Make sure wire jewelry is tight and secure by adding right angles with instructions from a beading instructor in this free video on jewelry making.

I found an article online that gave instructions on how to make jewelry from recycled paper.
It is very cheap, and simple.
I was thinking, since I am young, this could provide a little pocket change, selling jewelry online from home.
What do you think? My mom says, the way the economy is, it might not work. I really want to do something from home. I was also thinking about selling cupcakes or something in school.
Whaddya think??
Got any ideas???
Thanks!!! <33
Not everything has to be sold online. The old-fashioned way works better in these types of circumstances. Make the jewelry and when your friends admire it, offer to make some for them - at a reasonable price. Sell to your school mates, family, teachers, etc. The fact the jewelry is made from recycled paper is a great hook - being ‘green’ is very attractive these days.

I see jewelry all the time that is made from wire and is not beaded solid from end to end. There is a lot of wire showing then a few beads… then so on. How do I do this?
Use crimp beads. If you look closely at those jewellery, there are these tiny little short tubes of light metal-ish that you clamp tight with a crimper or plier to keep the beads in place.
