My friend at work just went there and brought back beautiful jewelry that was crafted there. It was all handmade, even the"loops" for connecting a piece together. I just wondered where they bought there silver wire and beads from. I mean, I don't think they are buying already-to-finish parts from an AC Moore!
Local mines, most likely. There are plenty of them in that area. They either send the refined metal to a metalworker who makes pieces to specification, or send it straight to the jewler who has been trained in metalworking.

I have a lovely little pendant that my Grandmother gave me for my Confirmation several years ago. I've broken the original chain (It was a little too short) and rather than fix it I put it on a pretty chain that came from a jewelry making kit. The chain is made to look like antiqued gold but it isn't really.
Now the problem is that now that I've started wearing it again, the chain turns my neck this horrible greenish-grey colour. I know it probably needs to be cleaned because it wasn't worn for so long (Probably about a year since the old chain broke) but I don't have any jewelry cleaner and without knowing exactly what the chain is made of I don't want to use toothpaste on it. I avoid getting the chain wet, I don't wear it in the shower and I make sure I'm very dry before putting it back on.
How can I properly and safely clean the chain and prevent it from turning my neck green in the future?
Also, how can I get these ugly green stains off my skin? No matter how hard I scrub they won't come off!
buy a chain made of real gold or silver.

I'm interested in making hand stamped jewelry for myself. What do I need and where should I buy these supplies?
"hand stamp jewelry" could mean lots of different things, and could be done in lots of different ways!
You'll probably want to be more specific, or include a link to the kind of things you're thinking of, to get a good answer.
(You can stamp into or onto polymer clay though and make jewelry…if you're interested in checking that out and seeing some examples, check out this page at my site:

I am trying to create a digital collage of my family photos that I can make into jewelry and give to family members. I have seen people create digital collages of images on Etsy for sale and was hoping to find out what program they use to do that or what kind of technique. I have Photoshop, is it possible to do it with that?
Thanks for the answer! Can you also tell me how to do this in Photoshop?
Yes, you can use Photoshop to create digital collages.

Not sure if it would be just like the picture, but one idea is rubber stamping (an image of your choice) on shrink plastic , then color it with markers or colored pencils. You would stamp the image onto the shrink plastic, color it, cut it out, punch a little hole (remember the hole will shrink) for a jump ring, then shrink it (either in the oven or by using a heat tool). The shrinking will intensify the color quite a bit. You can buy all the supplies at Michael's or Hobby Lobby or any other similar arts and crafts store.
Sound like fun?
