My younger sister had a do it yourself jewelry making kit. It came in a small rectangular plastic container. It wasn’t RoseArt or any brand like that. It was something from like a craft store or something.
But inside came about 12 different colors of beads in small circular containers. It also came with white stretchy string. The instructions said to use clear coat nail polish to paint the tip of the string so that the beads would go on easier. I thought this was a unique instruction. The design of the container had girls making jewelry, it had a metallic light blue or silver color and the instructions were printed on the inside of the cardboard inside the container. (I hope that made sense!) Anyway, my little sister lost her kit and I’m trying to find out what kind it is so that I can find it at a craft store.
If you know what brand it is or where I can definitely, not possibly, pick it up then please let me know. :)

Thank you so much!

check out and sign up for hobby lobby and Micheals store ads and often they have coupons f or one item for 25 to 40 or 50% off. Also look in the clearance aisle at Joann fabrics, or Hobby lobby for some great deals. Even Wal-mart has some of the kits.

No, I have no idea what specific kit is is, but these type of kits ARE definitely found at all the stores listed.

I don’t know about that exact kit, but you might check out some of these:

(And btw, the technique of putting nail polish or other acrylics and glues on the frayable end of cording to make stringing beads easier isn’t unusual… it’s often done on various kinds of cording used for beading, including elastic.)

You could just buy her some beads and stretchy cording yourself too instead of buying a kit… you can read about various kinds of cording used for jewelry beading on this page if you’re interested:

It sounds like the type of kits they sell at Michael’s craft stores. I don’t know for sure if they would have the exact same kit, but they do have kits in the container that you’ve described. They also have similar kits in the craft department (not the toy department) at larger Wal Mart stores.
