Jewelry Making

I want to get into making my own jewelry, where can i get some tutorials on it and like a starter kit? i want to see if i can be semi good at it, so i don’t want to spend too much money but i don’t mind spending $50 or so.

Michael’s craft stores have lots of starter kits, instruction books and beads that are perfect for beginners. The easiest project is bracelets on stretch cord and they have plenty of kits for that. (here’s a little tip: when working with stretch cord stretch it out and back several times before stringing.) If you want to shop on-line and you live in the US then Fire Mountain Gems is a great place to shop. They have everything you need and they are a great starting point. Finally, Bead and Button Magazine has a large website with tips and tricks for wire work, chain work, and other jewelry techniques. Finally, About.com has a large beadwork site and a jewelry making site. bead and jewelry making can be absolutely addicting. Here are some good sites with tips, tricks, tools and tutes!
