There’s a cheap Dremmel clone at Argos for £20 (I bought it on sale for just £10!) but be careful, even though it’s a very small power tool it can cause serious injury so use with great care.

Definitely Dremel. 1word of caution: I got the 400 series and some of the accessories-like the flex shaft and the quick change chuck-are not compatible with it…even though they are all sold next to each other at Home Depot. The 400 is the best one @ my Home Depot but many of the extras still don’t work with it. Make sure you ask lots of questions and maybe even request that an associate open packages and try things out together. (The guy at my H.D. actually OFFERED to do this for me after I had to return half of the things I bought.)

A dremel will be perfect….its a hand held tool especially for things like jewellery….ive got mine a pendant lead and a stand so i dont actually have to bear the whole weight of it when im doing really intricate work…you can pick one up at b&q, and its got to be dremel…you can pick up much cheaper hand held electrical tools, but in my experience they are a waste of money….good luck x

A dremel type multitool will be the best option…

plus you may want to buy the flexible extension as an extra.. this makes it lighter to use for smaller jobs like what you are doing..

it is perfect when using very small drill sizes.
