my school gave me a task on letting my 6-8 yr. olds make jewelry out of recycled materials. i thought of the beaded necklace using newspaper but it’s too tedious and difficult for them. are there any other suggestions? it would help me a lot. thanks

There is a specific website for frugal hobbies… that is taking stuff around the house and turning it into special stuff. Go here: http://newfreebooks.com Click on "web research" and then "Leap Down" to get to the next section. There are also other hobby ideas in that same section… and special projects for kids.

What about things like tabs off of aluminum cans, aluminum foil, even beads out of recycled paper (all you would need is some glue)…those are about the only ideas I can come up with.
