I’ve used soldering irons before for work but that’s it. My knowledge is pretty slim, any Information you have and are willing to share would be much appreciated

Again my question is…Can soldering irons be used for jewelry making?

Sure can.

If you are about to make silver and gold jewelry, you are going to need a torch. The melting temperatures of silver and gold solders require a torch and a good one. Don’t settle for a cheap torch or you’ll find out that cheap is expensive. "Little Torch" is highly recommended.
