<description>You can buy the kind of resin you want at craft, art supply and often hobby stores, or online. Some will be availale elsewhere but you do want the &#34;craft&#34; type.

I just answered a question which would have a lot of the info I would have put here, so go and read that for a lot of basic info:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AqRoGzjtN95Is41Kmm_SHHfsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20091011042033AAytK0x
And also, these previous answers I've given here will give you a *lot* more of the &#34;basic&#34; info about using craft resins:
http://www.google.com/search?q=YahooAnswers+%22Diane+B.%22+resin+epoxy+polyester

As for making jewelry, you can go with a clear craft epoxy resin, or a tweaked epoxy resin (Easy Cast), or a polyester resin depending on exactly what you want to do.

Any of them can have &#34;inclusions&#34; and &#34;embedments&#34; like you mentioned, but some are more suitable for &#34;deep&#34; molds than others, and the tweaked epoxy &#34;Easy Cast&#34; can cure up not quite as rigid and become soft or flexible with body heat.

(Check out the page at my site given in the other answer for loads of info, as well as tutorials, on doing what you want to do:
http://glassattic.com/polymer/other_materials.htm )

You might also want to know about the online forum called &#34;Craftster&#34; since it has a whole section devoted to craft resins (usually used there for jewelry, but not always):
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=10667.0
...Actually that &#34;section&#34; is one loooong thread on their &#34;Jewelry &#38; Trinkets&#34; board, but you can ask questions there (if you join--free) and also read all the previous discussions to get a lot of beginner info (but I'd probably start with some of the lessons/videos and info on my page first).

HTH, and have fun!
