What can I do to make my silver jewelry look like new?

I have this sterling silver ring, and yesterday it fell and fell on my hardwood floors. It got a little scuffed up and some scratching. What can I do to fix it? Will a polishing cloth minimize the scratches?

I don't want to have to take it back to Tiffany's, I want to see if I can restore it on my own first.

Unfortunately, the only way to get silver jewelry (or any jewelry) to look like new is to have a jeweler polish it or refinish it.

    try the polishing cloth first, and if that doesn’t work dip it in that silver jewelry cleaner, because it could not be an actual scratch, just residue from the hardwood floors.. if that makes sense. lol

    First wask it completely with soap.
    Than put nail remover on it.
    When its dry put it in white vinigar
    leave it for 5 min
    Than take it out
    wash it agian with soap and water
    Carefully dry

    I thought putting it in white vinegar worked, but you should check with someone else first, because i’ve never tried it ;s and i dun want angry messages from you about how i stained your ring ;o
